FAVORITE PLACES TO VISIT IN OREGON

I have compiled a list of my favorite places in Oregon. If you are planning a trip to Oregon, I would highly suggest you add these places to your itinerary. Read on for great tips on places to go, things to see & delicious food to eat!

Seaside and Cannon Beach

Seaside and Cannon Beach are the cutest little beach towns in Oregon. Quaint shops, & the beautiful but often chilly beaches are nothing short of picturesque. I grew up going to these beaches so they will always feel like home!

Seaside:

Dining-

1. Tom’s Fish and Chips- Great place to stop for a lunch. It is super filling and the fries are delicious. The store decor is beached themed which is also a plus.

2. Beach Day Coffee- This is such a perfect little coffee shop for the beach. They serve delicious coffee drinks. The shop also has an adorable interior. I love the cute plank wall!

3. Schwietert's Cones & Candy- Try the free samples of freshly made fudge and delicious taffy! This is such a cute little candy shop.

4. Sea Star Gelato- I have driven all the way to the beach just to have this gelato. Trust me, it is incredible. The recipes are family owned and delicious. Better than any other ice cream stores!

Attractions-

1. Seaside Aquarium- I love visiting this aquarium! You can purchase food to feed the adorable seals. There are also interactive tanks which are so much fun!

2. Interstate Amusement- A tilt a whirl ride , bumper cars and mini golf make this place a hit with younger kids My personal favorite is the tilt-a-whirl. It’s the perfect boardwalk ride!

3. Helicopter Ride- See a beautiful view of the Oregon Coast and Oregon’s luscious greenery for a great price! I loved this experience and was absolutely blown away by how incredible the Oregon Coast is

Cannon Beach:

Dining-

1. Bruce’s Candy Kitchen- This candy shop has some of the best fresh salt water taffy I have ever tasted. Every time I go, I come home with a huge bag! I love every flavor. The best part about Bruce’s is you can watch the taffy being made and get a sample of the warm taffy fresh off the conveyor!

2. Osburn’s Ice Creamery & Island Coffee Roasters- This place has great ice cream but they also have delirious shave ice! The tiger’s blood shave ice is my personal favorite.

Attractions-

1. Haystack Rock- This is one of the most beautiful sights to see at the Oregon beaches! I would suggest biking to it as that’s more fun(see below)!

2. Family Fun Cycle- The family Fun Center has great three wheeled beach bikes to rent! These are so much fun and a great exercise also!

Multnomah Falls Hike:

(Located in Columbia River Gorge)

This hike is great because it is the perfect length. It is family friendly, however it was pretty steep. Multnomah Falls is absolutely beautiful, and the view is well worth the hike.

Black Butte and Bend:

Bend is a great place to go if you want to experience the beauty of Oregon. The endless trees and views are breathtaking.

Dining-

1. Sno Cap Drive In- This place is the epitome of an old fashion diner. The milkshakes are thick and the burgers are incredible.

Attractions-

1. Black Butte Ranch- A perfect place to stay if you love the outdoors. This place is incredibly beautiful but also relaxing. While there I have tandem biked around the biking trails which is so much fun.

Portland:

I absolutely had to include my hometown in my top favorite places in Oregon. There are so many things to do, see and try in Downtown. Below I’ll list a few of my (many) favorite dining and attractions.

Dining-

1. Departure- Departure is a great upscale restaurant. The food is asian fusion and it is excellent. This restaurant is located on the top floor of a hotel and the cityscape view is amazing.

2. TILT Burger- This burger place is excellent. I had the aloha burger and it was by far the best burger I have ever eaten. This place is also super trendy and is located in downtown.

Attractions-

1. Oregon Zoo- The Zoo is absolutely wonderful and a great place to go with kiddos.

2. Powell’s Bookstore- When you're in Portland, I would highly recommend going into this incredible bookstore. This bookstore is the world’s largest independent bookstore.
