Santa Barbara is a lively, beautiful city! I had been wanting to visit Santa Barbara for years and I was not disappointed. This travel guide shares my favorite places to visit and the best food available in Santa Barbara, CA!
Places to Visit
Santa Barbara Courthouse
The Santa Barbara Courthouse is one of the most beautiful courthouses I have visited! While we were picnicking here, we saw two wedding photoshoots taking place. It is a perfect place to relax on a blanket reading or chatting with friends!
Chromatic Gate
The Chromatic Gate is a well-known art installation near the ocean! I love how colorful and beautiful this is, and absolutely had to get a picture here!
Things to Do
Shop at Paseo Nuevo
Paseo Nuevo is an open-air market with Spanish influence. I loved strolling through the shops and visiting the farmers market that is there on Saturdays. This mall also has a cute staircase that is perfect for photos!
Foodie Spots
Kyle’s Kitchen
Kyle's Kitchen has amazing fresh high-quality food. My fiance and I are both vegetarian and were super impressed with the garden burger. We split fries and kale salad as our sides. We also ordered fresh lemonade which was the perfect addition to our meal. On top of everything else, the food looked amazing and was also affordable. I am very impressed with Kyle's Kitchen. I will be coming back whenever I visit Santa Barbara!
McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream
McConnell's Ice Cream is delicious. I love gourmet ice cream and would highly recommend visiting here when you are in Santa Barbara! My fiance and I stopped here for dessert after enjoying the day at the beach. The line was long but it was with the wait. We ordered a double scoop with seasonal flavors: S'mores and Santa Barbara Strawberry! So yummy...
Blenders
Blenders have the BEST smoothies I have ever tried. They were creamy and fruity and their prices were affordable compared to other smoothie chains. I ordered the Tropical Mango with bee pollen and LOVED it. I could drink this smoothie for every meal and not get tired of it. I wish they had Blenders in the Grass in San Diego. They have one in Paseo Nuevo, so you should definitely get a smoothie to sip on while you shop! Highly recommend if you’re in Santa Barbara!
