THE BEST BRUNCH SPOTS IN SAN DIEGO, CA

San Diego has the most amazing brunch restaurants. My favorite meal of the day is breakfast, and I personally LOVE brunch. There is something so wonderful about going to brunch with friends and eating delicious, Instagram worthy food. In this blog post, I have rounded up my top five favorite brunch restaurants in San Diego. Happy Brunching!

Breakfast Republic

Breakfast Republic is a southern California staple. The food is delicious, unique and photo-worthy. The restaurant is trendy, and eating at Breakfast Republic is an experience. Breakfast Republic has multiple locations including one in Ocean Beach, one in Liberty Station and one in downtown San Diego. I personally love the french toast and pancake flight. They have flavors such as Smore’s, Strawberry Cheesecake and Oreo. Their seasonal specials are also always delicious. I would highly recommend eating at Breakfast Republic.

Fig Tree Cafe

Fig Tree Cafe is a brunch place that serves delicious dishes prepped with fresh ingredients. They identify as a “California eatery” and are a wonderful example of California’s unique cuisine. I love Fig Tree Cafe’s Berry Sweet French Toast and their rosemary house potatoes. Their potatoes are addicting and a perfect savory complement to a sweet dish.

Harry’s Coffee Shop

I recently discovered Harry’s Coffee Shop and had a wonderful experience at their diner. Harry’s has been around since the 1960s and they are known for their classic breakfast experience. Harry’s is also one of Food Networks Five Best diners. I love their hashbrowns and fluffy pancakes. One of the best parts of the meal was the fresh-squeezed tangerine juice. Located in La Jolla, this brunch restaurant is perfect for a late Sunday morning pick me up.

Little Lion Cafe

Little Lion Cafe is one of Point Loma’s hidden gems. This quaint little restaurant is tiny but mighty. They have a delicious Dutch Baby dish, and their food is beautifully displayed. This restaurant is perfect for dates but not great for big parties. I love this cute little hole in the wall.

Snooze AM

Snooze AM is a delicious breakfast joint with amazing food that is nothing less than drool-worthy. This place can get super busy during the weekend but it will be worth the wait! They have great scrambles and pancake dishes!

I will be the first to admit that I have a huge sweet tooth. My brunch dishes almost always include pancakes, crepes, waffles or french toast. Are you a savory or sweet brunch person?
